We welcome our new Tenure Track professor, Dr Mehedi Masud, to the PUCP! He is a
ccompanied by his wife, Dr Nishat Fiza, who is now a visiting researcher.
Masud carried out his PhD at Harish-Chandra Research Institute HBNI (Prayagraj, India), which was followed by postdoc positions at IFIC (Valencia, Spain), the Institute of Physics (Bhubaneshwar, India), the IBS-CTPU (Daejeon, South Korea), and Chung-Ang University (Seoul, South Korea). He specializes in neutrino oscillation phenomenology, focusing on long baseline experiments. He is also interested in physics beyond the Standard Model and astroparticle physics.
Nishat, after her PhD at IISER (Mohali, India), continued her career with a postdoc at Chung-Ang University (Seoul, South Korea). She worked initially on the MINERvA experiment, and is now also focusing on neutrino oscillations at long baseline experiments.
We are looking forward to an enjoyable and productive collaboration!
