Biocultural heritage and community voice in Amazonia

It aims to research the value of cultural heritage to local communities by: 1) Understanding the ways cultural heritage can be represented, preserved and developed to ensure sustainability and well-being for local communities. 2) Widening cultural heritage participation through new community-led initiatives both locally in communities and globally across the hub. 3) Preserving and represent intangible and tangible cultural heritage in digital and physical form. 4) Inspire collaboration for sustainable partnerships between the University, communities and global institutions. The hub will create a shared platform for researchers to share their knowledge and experiences via a new ‘South-South’ and/or Global online conversation series. Enable community, researcher and wider public participation through innovative technologies; a mobile app and a database of intangible and tangible cultural heritage.
