“It is very rewarding to receive such recognition of the effort that you put in doing your work, an even more when the entity that recognizes you is your alma mater at the moment you finish your major. I am very honored of having achieved this award to my research, without a doubt, it sets a precedent to continue pursuing my goals and objectives in my personal and professional life. I want to thank my advisers, Benjamín Castañeda and Omar Zenteno, because they are also part of this triumph.” – Grecia Eche.

Meanwhile, Andrés Leonel Coila Pacompía, student of Master’s program in Digital Signal and Image Processing, obtained funding to develop his thesis “Application of regularization techniques for improving ultrasonic attenuation images”.

“It was great when I saw the list of winners. This award is an extra motivation for me and it is exciting that PUCP bets on the research developed by its students. At the same time, the countdown starts, as this award also entails a compromise to finish and defending the thesis according to a programmed schedule.” – Andrés Coila.
