It has equipment for characterizing and measuring components, equipment of wireless communication, and measuring non-ionizing radiation (NIR). The spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and PSG signal generators of this laboratory use a frequency of 40 GHz. Moreover, the lab has a software of 3D electromagnetic simulation, RF components design and antennas. This allows to research, design and build wireless transceivers, antennas and repairment of antennas. It develops models for estimating the exposure level (SAR) to NIR, and researches of techniques and materials for electromagnetic isolation in risk and safety areas.
